Starting from the roots of Giuseppe Rizzo’s farm, located in the historic territory of Paestum (Salerno) Melasir was born: a beauty luxury range of natural cosmetics which is entirely based on the pomegranate that grows in the Paestum area.
The name “Melasir” is the combination of the term Elsìr, from the Arabic word “al-iksīr”, and pomegranate (in Italian “Melograno”), the fruit with prodigious properties for the care and beauty of the body.
By following traditional methods, pomegranate-based cosmetics are able to take advantage of the benefits of the fruit by making the best use of its active properties, that are present both in the peel and in the seeds, technically called “arils” (“arilli” in italian).
Melasir is the expression of a company deeply linked to the cultivation of pomegranate, in particular its italian variety called “Dente di Cavallo” (“horse’s tooth” in English literal translation), precisely for the will to bring out that millennial link with the city of Capaccio Paestum.
