Mongibella is a family run milk processing business located 1000 meters above sea level in the Iblei Hills near Buccheri, in the province of Siracusa, Sicily.

The establishment of 500 square meters is located in the upper valley of the Anapo river, and facing directly Mount Etna which is also known as Mongibello, where the company’s name comes from.

The business started in May 2004. Since the beginning, the company has been using the latest dairy technologies while maintaining tradition and authenticity.

Angelo Ciurcina’s expertise in the seasoning process has been handed down over three generations and today he is a master cheese maker par excellence. He is responsible for the cheese production together with a dedicated and trained team.
Silvana Cutrale, Angelo’s wife, is in charge of the Administration and Marketing department.
Their son Giuseppe, graduated in Food Technology from the Agricultural University of Florence, and specialized at the University of Parma, is responsible for quality and the company’s innovation together with the whole team’s support.
In this way Mongibella combines expertise and tradition with innovation and technology, succeeding in amazing customers with the ancient flavors of the past but also surprising them with new cheeses.
Mongibella uses only high quality fresh cow’s milk, produced in the Iblei Hills by disease-free and controlled farms. The whole process takes place in full compliance with hygiene and health standards through the application of the self-control system H.A.C.C.P, Traceability and Trackability.

The company offers a wide range of products, including historical cheese such as cosacavaddu ibleo and Ragusano DOP, but also original cheese such as Luna Piena and Moro.
Thanks to passion and dedication, Mongibella has managed to consolidate the sales network in the local Sicilian market and to make itself known and appreciated in the Italian and European market, supplying distributors, specialized stores, supermarkets, restaurants and pizzerias.
The goal for the future is to further strengthen the sales network in the European and international markets.

Since 2004, Mongibella has been committed to satisfying the most demanding palates with unique cheese and delighting customers with extraordinary emotions.

Mongibella’s cheese, Made in Italy, Made with Love.
