The Bio Alberti Farm, nestled in the rolling Umbrian hills in the village of Poggio Aquilone, covers an area of 560 hectares, between the province of Perugia and the province of Terni, in Italy. It has been operating in the sector for 60 years but, in recent years, Guido and Paola out of passion, out of love for the land, have made substantial changes by investing in two elements: the values and traditions of the agricultural world, in a path of rediscovery of traditional flavors. peasant. The land inside the company, certified organic for twenty years, is cultivated as in ancient times, in rotation and fertilized with organic fertilizers from the Chianina breed of cattle. Our mission is “Live well, eat well, enjoy organic”.
We take care of and protect the fertility of the earth, so that from sowing to harvesting, all the processes are carried out on the farm in order to obtain high quality raw materials, offering a wide range of organic products, suitable for the health and well-being of people: dried legumes, boiled legumes, cereals, extra virgin olive oil, Senatore Cappelli durum wheat flour, ancient grain flours, spelled flour, Senatore Cappelli durum wheat pasta, legume and cereal soups.
Our cereals are stone milled to obtain flours that preserve all the organoleptic properties, with an irregular particle size and intense taste and aromas.
We have chosen to plant Ancient Grains, which are better suited to our soil and climatic conditions and provide a higher nutrient intake, with a lower and better digestible gluten content.
The extra virgin olive oil we produce is a blend of native varieties (moraiolo, leccino, frantoio and pendolino). The olives are cold pressed for oil extraction within 24 hours.
