Tenuta agricola Pesolillo was founded in 1961 in “Colle Rotondo”, a gentle hill (200 m above sea level) close to the Adriatic seaside. Today, the winery count 12 Hectares of vineyards and olive groves.
Today, after so many years of hard work and dedication, during which, the Pesolillo family has taken care of the entire wine production chain, from the land to the bottle, it’s time to share the uniqueness of its products and tell the international community a new story made of love for the territory and good custody of the farming, agricultural traditions of the Abruzzo region.
The location of the estate (200 m above sea level) and the territory on which the vineyards extend, guarantees the vines a microclimate made of strong thermal changes, decent sea breeze, and an optimal sun exposure that favors an excellent ripening of the grapes, a natural health of the bunches and the formation of aromas and scents that are an expression of environmental context, naturally suited to the cultivation of the vine
Pecorino grape tells the rural history of the people of Abruzzo, like our family that generation after generation is dedicated to the cultivation of the land and is devoted to the custody of this historic variety cultivated on the hills overlooking the Adriatic coast.
The grapes benefit from the sun and sea breezes that favor the perfect aromatic maturation while preserving freshness and natural acidity thanks to a strong thermal excursion.
The history of the Montepulciano grape in Abruzzo has ancient roots, and for generations the Pesolillo family has cultivated it on the sunny hills surrounding the estate.
