Description
Il Baccello has a family history of more than eighty years. The mediterranean climate with its rich and fertile soils and biodiversity allows us to produce our nutritious legumes and cereals with an authentic flavour. Grandfather Giuseppe started the Internicola family business marketing cereals with its trusty cart. The Valle del Belice is for our family not only the historical place of production of our legumes and cereals but above all the land in which we have lived for many generations and which we will bequeath to future generations. For this reason, in December 2009, we made our company even more eco-sustainable through the construction of one of the largest photovoltaic systems ever registered in Sicily on a roof, through which we self-produce clean energy capable of 100% satisfying our requirement. All the production processes are also optimized to reduce the use of non-renewable raw materials and we use innovative technologies to increase recycling levels. Finally, we are constantly committed to minimizing the volume of packaging to impact the environment as little as possible.
