Description

FURECO SRL

The history of Fureco began in Italy in the early 1920s. In Seregno, just outside of Milan, Cesare Gavazzi faced the difficult economic recovery after World War I by starting up a leather goods store, which would later become a landmark boutique.
Thanks to his entrepreneurial dynamism and willingness to travel, he soon realized the fur trade opportunities in the Italian market, attending the most important auctions at that time.
After the crisis caused by World War II, he boosted the business with the help of his sons and trusted craftsmen, triggering a significant growth path that—in the 1970s—would lead the family to found Fureco, the fur industry leader that produces its own men’s and women’s collections, Fabio Gavazzi and Mavina, as well as those of some of the most renowned fashion houses.
The story continues today thanks to the third and fourth generations of the family, represented by brothers Cesare, CEO; Fabio, creative director; and Alberto Gavazzi, commercial manager—now working alongside their own sons and daughters.
The knowledge of the raw material’s properties, combined with skilled craftsmanship and technical expertise, guides the collections through the entire production chain, from the source to the design and distribution.
The company’s brand concept includes quality, tradition and innovation, and continuous research that allows to achieve visual and tactile sophistication.
Work ethic and sustainability are among its core values: Fureco is also Furmark certified, which guarantees that the products are fully traceable and meet recognized animal welfare and environmental standards
