Tagliovivo was founded in 2012 in the south of Italy and launched his first F/W collection in 2013, after two years of research made by the designer Giordano Lapegna.
Attracted by the Italian handicraft, natural fabrics, vegetable-tanned leather, wrought iron, he decided to create a collection that combined these traditional elements and create a luxury product with raw materials.

Leather and metal are the key elements of Tagliovivo products. Our leathers are vegetable-tanned and they are incredibly natural. The selection of leather maintains certain aesthetic preservation – all of the original signs, marks, and features are visible on the bags.

Tagliovivo doesn’t want to reject something that was part of the animal’s life, as a form of respect for their life. This rough leather reminds of nature and wildlife, therefore they aim to enhance the most natural elements.

All the iron accessories are handmade, so they are unique pieces and some of the iron rings we use comes from ancient wrought-iron chains from the second half of the nineteenth century.

Every single bag is cut by hand choosing the right part of the leather and is made to be a durable object that becomes more beautiful over time.

Tagliovivo products are made exclusively of vegetable-tanned leather.

In the vegetable tanning process, the use of chemicals, it’s extremely reduced, this ensures a lower impact on the environment.
Vegetable tanning is a Tuscan artisan tradition, which is based on the use of “tannino.”

This natural substance can be found in many different trees and vegetables and is responsible for the transformation of the animal hide into a compact and resistant material.
These natural tannin extracts make the vegetable-tanned leather unique and easily distinguishable thanks to its extremely natural look.

Aging is the attraction of our leather and it reveals the signs of time as the expression of naturalness and truth.
Choosing a product made of vegetable-tanned leather means choosing a one-of-a-kind object that reflects the owner’s lifestyle.

The metal parts used on our products are unique handmade pieces, made in wrought iron.
Fascinated by this ancient slow process of making iron tools, we developed our hardware collection in collaboration with our blacksmiths. We make our custom rings, hooks, and buckles, starting from a raw iron stick which is hammered by hand, giving it a new shape and texture.

With an artisanal touch, each piece shows uniqueness.
