Description

Alessandro Bellio was born in Treviso in 1975.

As a young boy was passionate about rugby and he joined the Benetton Rugby Treviso, playing as prop.

Rugby is a tough sport, in which individual effort leads the team to success: Alessandro grow in this way, through mud, sweat and satisfactions.

The physical effort doesn’t scare him, and with clear ideas decides to enroll in the Wine School of Conegliano in which he graduated in 1995.

As a winemaker, he began working in the wine industry in Veneto, but in 1998 another love strikes him and pushes him to move: Friuli Venezia Giulia, motherland of great wines, becomes his new home.

For seven years he leads an important Friulian winery as winemaker, agronomist and sales manager and in 2006 he decided to open a service company to manage vineyards that soon will extend from Friuli to Veneto, Lombardy and Tuscany, working with leading companies in the wine sector. Among the vineyards Alessandro knows Margherita, a gentle and reserved girl who feels for this land and these wines the same passion. The result is a solid and deep love from which, in 2009, was born the idea to open his own winery: Ronco Margherita.

The dream became reality in these years of hard team work, and has been reflected even more in 2015 with the transfer of the headquarters in Pinzano al Tagliamento, in the ancient estate belonged to Ruggero Forti, father of modern Friulian viticulture.

In addition to the approximately 36 hectares distributed between the hills of Pinzano and the area of Magredi of Dandolo, in the municipality of Maniago, the company also has a production in the eastern hills of Friuli.

The winery obtained the biological certification both on agronomic and enological processes. This involves the use of low impact processing methods ranging from organic fertilizers to integrated pest control for plant health protection. The aim is promoting and enhancing the company’s human and natural resources as well as developing a new strategic policy on communication and sales.

At the moment the organic line consists of four wines: inaugurated with Pinot Grigio, it has expanded with Refosco – the most loved and known among the native Friulian reds – and with Prosecco bubbles in two versions, the classic and – new entry in the disciplinary of the DOC and in the cellar – Rosé.

Our customers choose us because we produce Friulano wines respecting tradition and maintaining a

high quality level. In fact, our white wines do not enter the market before 6-7 months during which they are aged in steel tanks; our red wines, on the other hand, rest for more than two years before being marketed. In addition to international qualities such as Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, we have been producing since 2009, the year the company was founded, also native ones such as Ribolla Gialla, Friulano, Piculit Neri, Sciaglin, Forgiarin and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Schioppettino and Tazzelenghe which well represent the terroir of the Colli Orientali Friuli, where most of our production comes from.
